The Collection After evolving various times I present to you THE COLLECTION. This Ep is a collection of songs displaying various skills of mine from mixing to writing. After curating 6 years of writing, recording, mixing, and mastering over 50 songs, the great Curtis King revealed to me that an album is supposed to represent a chapter in your life. When saying that I didn't just hear what he said I understood it. What he meant was the lyrics being written, the graphics being displayed, the photos being taken and even the way it's mixed and mastered had to mean something. Whether it's something that happened in the past, a message you want to send, or where you are in your life right now, it had to mean something. I was devastated, though there are half-truths on the ep I thought that as a body of work it didn't represent what it was supposed to. Later I had an epiphany I realized that the ep was a chapter in my life, it did mean something. Though it talks about a lot of things I don't believe in or that don't represent me, I displayed some of my strongest skills there. Songs like "Run It" was very tightly written and I didn't let up on a single bar. "Not the Same '' created a vibe that I didn't let die the entire record. "Change Of Hearts'' discusses some feelings and deep emotions I felt while a childhood friend of mine was incarcerated and also is one of the best mixes I've ever done. "Blow my high'' (Though marijuana is literally like kryptonite to me) has an amazing aura and mix to it that creates an energy unlike anyone can feel elsewhere. Though I didn't have the perfect frame of mind while creating the album on making sure it represented something real in its entirety, it definitely shows a lot of who I am and what I've been through.
